Editorial

Editorial policy

Every substantive page on this site is written specifically for Laveen and reviewed before publication. Factual claims about prices, regulations, utilities, or safety must cite a recorded source. Material changes are recorded in the page’s source metadata rather than shown as a visitor-facing article date.

Content is never copied from other websites, and location names are never swapped into an article written for somewhere else.

Where our facts come from

Cost and decision guides on this site draw on published Phoenix-area repair pricing, ENERGY STAR guidance on repair versus replacement, rebate and rate programs from SRP and APS, and public records from Maricopa County. When a page states a number, the source is recorded with the page.

Facts versus estimates

We hold these two apart on every page:

  • Verified facts are stated plainly: things a source on record supports, such as a utility program or an efficiency threshold.
  • Estimates are labeled as estimates: rounded planning ranges, “typical for this profile” figures, and rules of thumb. They are never presented as quotes or as guaranteed prices.

If we cannot verify something, it stays off the page. We would rather publish a shorter page than an impressive one we cannot stand behind.

What we will not publish

  • Diagnosis of your specific system, or advice on whether equipment is safe to run. That belongs to a licensed technician on site.
  • Invented statistics, made-up averages, or review claims we cannot trace.
  • Scare tactics or artificial urgency. Phoenix heat supplies enough real urgency on its own.

Corrections

If you spot an error on any page, report it through the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page’s maintenance metadata is refreshed.
